Meet Your Chicago Menopause Care Team
You deserve to be heard. Not rushed, not dismissed, not told to "just power through." At Attune Menopause Care, we practice slow medicine—intentional, compassionate care that starts with listening to your story and honoring your experience.
Margaret and Kiyomi are Certified Nurse-Midwives who've dedicated their practice to supporting you through perimenopause and menopause. Because this transition deserves more than an 18-minute appointment. It deserves real time, real attention, and a partnership built on trust.
Our Philosophy: Bringing Slow Medicine to Menopause Care in Chicago
We reject the idea that faster is always better. Just like slow food celebrates nourishment over shortcuts, and slow travel savors the journey, slow medicine prioritizes meaning, connection, and healing over quick fixes.
Here's what that means for your care:
Longer visits so there's space for your whole story
Listening first because understanding your experience is where good care begins
Personalized plans built with you, not handed to you
Evidence-based treatment tailored to your unique needs
We built this practice to give you what the system so often doesn't: enough time, clarity about what's happening in your body, and a true partnership in your care.

OWNER & MIDWIFE
Hi, I'm Margaret. I founded Attune Menopause Care because I saw firsthand how the healthcare system was failing women during menopause. After caring for hundreds of families in busy clinical and hospital settings, I realized that meaningful care simply can't happen in rushed, 15-minute appointments.
My path to midwifery is a bit unconventional. I spent over a decade working in international human rights and humanitarian relief before pursuing my calling in healthcare. That experience taught me the profound power of deep listening and honoring each person's story—lessons I bring to every client I serve today.
I built this practice on a simple belief: you deserve care that takes time. Care that respects your concerns, partners with you (not talks over you), and helps you feel confident and supported. It's why slow medicine is at the heart of everything we do.

MIDWIFE
I'm Kiyomi, and I believe in the power of slowing down. After 15+ years in healthcare, I've learned that exceptional care happens when we create space to truly see and hear each person as a whole.
I transitioned from full-scope midwifery to focus on menopause and perimenopause because I see this time for what it truly is: an opportunity for enrichment, empowerment, and self-discovery. But that potential can only unfold with the right support—support that's patient, attentive, and genuinely collaborative.
My role is simple: to be your partner in feeling seen, heard, and good in your body. Whether you're navigating menopause symptoms, coming in for wellness care, or seeking support for pelvic or sexual health concerns, I'm committed to providing care at a human pace.
