Margaret Ladner and Kiyomi Kimble, CNM, MSCP - Chicago menopause care midwives

Welcome, Former Swedish & West Suburban Midwifery Patients

Looking for midwife-led gynecology and menopause care?

You've found your new home.

Hi! We are Margaret and Kiyomi, two certified nurse-midwives offering unhurried menopause and gynecological care on Chicago’s north side.

We know what you've lost—the midwives who truly listened, who took time with you, who treated you as a whole person, not just a condition. At Attune Menopause Care, we're certified nurse-midwives carrying forward that same philosophy of care.

We Understand What Midwife Care Meant to You

Maybe you had your babies with the midwives at Swedish Hospital or West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park. You continued seeing them for your annual exams, birth control, and gynecological care because you trusted them. Then everything changed.

You Valued Being Heard

Your midwives didn't rush you. They asked questions, listened to your answers, and remembered your concerns from visit to visit. That level of attention is rare—and it matters.

You’re Not Looking to Start Over

Finding a new provider shouldn't mean educating someone new about what midwife care is. You want to walk into an office where they already understand your values and your expectations.

You Trusted Their Approach

Midwives see health, not just illness. They support your body's natural processes, intervene only when needed, and partner with you in decisions. This evidence-based, patient-centered care produced better outcomes.

The Midwifery Philosophy Continues at Attune

  • Time and Attention

Our appointments are longer than typical medical visits because we believe in spending time with you. We review your health history before you arrive, so we can use our time together focusing on your current concerns, not filling out forms.

  • Evidence-Based, Individualized Care

As certified nurse-midwives, we stay current with the latest research and clinical guidelines. But we also recognize that you're not a textbook case—your care should reflect your unique health history, values, and goals.

  • The Whole Person, Not Just Symptoms

Midwifery training emphasizes physical, emotional, and social factors in health. When you're struggling with perimenopause symptoms or navigating a health decision, we consider how it affects every aspect of your life.

  • Partnership in Your Care

We discuss treatment options—including risks, benefits, and alternatives—so you can make informed decisions that feel right for you. Your body, your choice, our support.
